INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

Chicken (thighs, breasts, or tenders): 1–1.5 lbs

Olive oil: 2 tablespoons

Lemon juice or vinegar: 2 tablespoons

Garlic: 3 cloves, minced

Soy sauce or salt: 1 tablespoon

Honey or maple syrup: 1 teaspoon

Black pepper: to taste

Paprika (optional): 1/2 teaspoon

Dried herbs (optional: oregano, thyme, or Italian blend): 1 teaspoon

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice (or vinegar), garlic, soy sauce (or salt), honey, and spices.

  2. Add chicken and toss until fully coated.

  3. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).

  4. Cook using your preferred method:
Bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes
Pan-fry over medium heat until cooked through
Grill until lightly charred and fully cooked

  5. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

NOTES

  • Longer marinating = deeper flavor (but even 30 minutes works).

  • Use thighs for juicier, more forgiving results.

  • Don’t skip the acid (lemon/vinegar)—it brightens everything.

  • Works for meal prep and reheats well.

  • Save extra marinade (before adding chicken) for brushing while cooking.
