Butter: 3 tbsp

Garlic: 4 cloves, minced

Olive oil: 1 tbsp

Lemon: 1 (zested + juiced)

Paprika: 1 tsp (optional)

Red pepper flakes: ¼ tsp (optional)

Salt: to taste

Black pepper: to taste

Optional for serving:

Rice or pasta: cooked

1. Thaw the shrimp

Place shrimp in a colander and run cold water over them for 5–10 minutes.

Pat dry well.

2. Build the base

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Add butter and olive oil.

Stir in garlic and cook about 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Cook the shrimp

Add shrimp in a single layer.

Season with paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

4. Finish

Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and add zest.

Toss to coat.

5. Serve

Top with fresh parsley.

Serve as-is or over rice/pasta.

Dry shrimp well = better sear

Don’t overcook (they get rubbery fast)

Add a splash of pasta water if tossing with noodles
