INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS
Butter (softened) – ½ cup
Brown Sugar – ½ cup
White Sugar – ¼ cup
Egg – 1
Vanilla Extract – 1 tsp
Flour – 1¼ cups
Baking Soda – ½ tsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Cinnamon – 1 tsp
Cardamom – ½ tsp
Ginger (ground) – ½ tsp
Cloves (ground) – pinch
Black Pepper (optional, tiny pinch) – for real chai vibe
Chocolate Chips or Chunks – ¾ cup
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
Add egg and vanilla, mix until combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and all spices.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheet.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft.
Let cool slightly (or don’t… they’re unreal warm 😌)
NOTES
Underbake slightly for softer cookies
Add extra chocolate chunks on top before baking for that bakery look
Chill dough for 20–30 min if you want thicker cookies
A tiny pinch of black pepper = makes the chai flavor pop
