INSTRUCTIONS
Avocados: 2, ripe
Lime juice: 1–2 tablespoons
Red onion: 1/4 cup, finely chopped
Cilantro: small handful, chopped
Salt: to taste
Black pepper (optional): pinch
Cut avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop into a bowl.
Lightly mash with a fork, keeping some texture.
Add lime juice and mix gently.
Stir in chopped red onion and cilantro.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix until just combined and serve immediately.
NOTES
Use ripe avocados that give slightly when pressed.
Don’t overmix—texture is part of what makes it good.
Add extra lime if it feels too rich.
Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored briefly with plastic wrap pressed directly on top.
Add diced tomato or jalapeño for variation.
